She enters the book only as a passing name in an epigraph, a faint trace of a life beyond the stories’ brighter lights. The title and low dahn hint at a place in a finely ranked society, but leave her character—and even her appearance—unrevealed.

The lighteyed spinster is mentioned only in an epigraph, identified as a woman of the eighth dahn. The text gives no account of her life, relationships, or choices, so her story remains unknown. She is a brief glimpse of the many people who exist at the edges of the book’s larger conflicts.
Description
No physical details are provided about her appearance. Her age, build, complexion, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, and manner are all unspecified, so a faithful visual depiction cannot be determined from the text.
