Lieutenant Givens starts as a capable MCRN marine leading operations aboard the Donnager, professional and steady under fire. He guides the escape amid escalating combat but suffers catastrophic injuries from a protomolecule weapon blast, his armor crushed and body leaking vital fluids. Staggering on until the end, his corpse ends up strapped to a crash couch, a testament to Martian resilience in the face of alien horror. Later, he's part of the Yojimbo's defensive line, embodying the marines' doomed stand.
Description
In his 30s with an average build, Lieutenant Givens wears heavy vac-rated MCRN marine powered armor, its left torso panel crumpled inward from violent impact, yellow hydraulic fluid and dark blood seeping from breached seals. The suit's Martian congressional insignia gleams dully under emergency lights, his helmet visor reflecting the chaos around him. He moves with a staggering determination, professional posture unbroken despite evident agony, a firing line anchor in full combat gear.
