Roent is the thick-bodied Cealdish wagon master who hires Kvothe for his caravan journey, his fierce black beard hiding most of his features as he paces and barks orders, checking cargo with animal-like vigilance. He clashes with a man in a velvet hat over poor Aturan, clapping for sleep and managing the group's tense travels. By journey's end, he fades into the background of Kvothe's path to the University.
Description
A thick-bodied adult man with a fierce black beard that swallows most of his face, leaving only intense dark eyes visible. His sturdy frame moves with restless energy, pacing and gesturing commandingly. Dressed in practical Cealdish wagon master's clothes—heavy cloak, boots, and trousers—he exudes a barking, authoritative presence.
