Teren performs as a sword-wielding trouper with the Edema Ruh, staging dramatic mock fights and soliloquies alongside Shandi. The demon attack leaves his body by the wagon, sword broken in his bloodied hand, green and grey clothes soaked red, one leg gruesomely twisted with splintered bone protruding. His death marks the troupe's tragic pivot in Kvothe's wandering youth.
