Chang Te appears only as a name in the margins, a traveler glimpsed through the record rather than met face to face. That brief mention leaves the impression of a wider world of journeys and witnesses just beyond the page.

Chang Te is mentioned in a footnote as a Chinese traveler. The text offers no account of his travels, relationships, or personal history, so his place in the book remains a brief reference rather than a developed arc.
Description
The text does not describe Chang Te's appearance. His height, build, complexion, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, and distinguishing details are all unspecified, so a faithful visual rendering should leave them open.
