Tarás
- Minor
- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 13
Tarás is a small, practical presence at the edge of the household’s attention, known by name and by his work in the garden. The text leaves him indistinct, lending his brief absence a quiet, everyday human weight.

Tarás is mentioned early as someone expected to distinguish himself at dinner, then later appears as the gardener at Bald Hills, called for by Prince Andrew. No one answers when he is called. Beyond these brief references, the text gives him no developed history or personal arc.
Description
The text identifies Tarás as the gardener at Bald Hills but provides no description of his appearance. His age, build, complexion, hair, eyes, features, and clothing are unspecified. A faithful portrait should leave these details open rather than inventing them.
