Birch Glen is first introduced in the series as a quiet, unassuming village on the edge of the mortal lands, serving as a backdrop for early tensions between humans and Fae. As the series progresses, it becomes a strategic waypoint during the war against Hybern, witnessing both destruction and renewal. By the later books, Birch Glen evolves from a forgotten hamlet into a symbol of fragile peace and inter-court cooperation, hosting diplomatic meetings and refugee efforts.
