Kivrin has the reassuring warmth of someone who would rather welcome a visitor than impress a room: large-framed, smiling, and gently good-natured. His speech catches on its way out, but his kindness arrives without hesitation.

Федор Симеонович Киврин is a warm-hearted magician whose expertise lies in linear happiness, and whose gentle manner makes him an easy ally in a room full of sharper tempers. He speaks with a stammer, yet can raise his voice when Выбегалло's conduct demands it. At the council he greets Привалов with affectionate familiarity, supports Саша with sympathy, and enters lively debate with Хунта. His blend of geniality, conviction, and intellectual curiosity makes him a humane counterweight to the more combative magicians.
Description
Киврин is an elderly man of large, solid build, with a broad, kindly face and a warm smile. His hair, eyes, skin tone, and exact age are not specified. He is a magician, but no distinctive robes or accessories are described, so his clothing should remain understated rather than imagined. His presence is gentle and welcoming, softened further by the hesitations of his stammer.
