Ivan Stepanovich Khomyakov is a 106-year-old resident of Tomsk, selected for a trial involving an extraterrestrial rejuvenation device. He is presented as a figure at the threshold of extreme old age, with no further personal history or visual specifics supplied. His brief appearance turns on the question of what it might mean to be offered another stretch of life.
Description
Khomyakov is 106 years old, and his advanced age is the only concrete feature given about his appearance. He would read visually as an elderly man, but the text specifies no particular hair, eye color, facial structure, build, or clothing. Keep his portrayal restrained and individualize him through the gravity of great age rather than invented details.
