Sivin? His name is Silin, and he has the quiet weight of a fighter who no longer needs to see a room to understand it. The flask of bitter herbal drink at hand hints at a life worn down by hardship—and at strength still waiting somewhere beneath it.

Ivan Silin is a former special-forces paratrooper, blind and struggling with alcoholism, living in a Moscow communal apartment. Though sight is denied him, he remains a formidable fighter, navigating by sound and other sharpened senses. Drinking the herb-based Russian honey unlocks a startling surge of strength and resilience, bringing the battered veteran’s latent power into startling focus.
Description
Silin has the sturdy, athletic build of a trained paratrooper and the grounded heft of a powerful fighter. He is blind; beyond that, the text gives no specific details about his eye color, hair, or facial features. His practical, unadorned presentation suits a man living hard, while the flask of Russian honey is a distinctive accessory he keeps close. His bearing is controlled and formidable, attentive to the world through sound and touch.
