Sedlovoy has the apologetic air of a man forever trying to tidy up a small mishap before anyone notices. His bald head, bluish-shaved ears, and little bandages make him instantly distinctive, while his softness invites patience rather than impatience.

The elderly inventor Lui Ivanovich Sedlovoy is gentle, conscientious, and perpetually a little embarrassed by himself. He takes careful pains over the time machine, even dusting it with a handkerchief, yet listens to others with a bewildered, almost sheepish nod. His carefulness and vulnerability make him a quietly endearing presence among more forceful personalities.
Description
Sedlovoy is an elderly, bald man with a mild, uncertain face and a perpetually flustered expression. The hair around his ears is shaved close, leaving a bluish cast, and small adhesive bandages mark the nicks from his careful grooming. His manner is soft and considerate, often seeming apologetic; he carries himself with the modest neatness of a scientist who fusses over details. His precise eye color, clothes, and build are not established.
