Thirteen-year-old Misha, also called Chingachgook, is a slight boy whose extraordinary sense of smell lets him perceive the world in an unusual, synesthetic way. He lives in a fortified gray-stone home in the outskirts of Irkutsk, neatly dressed without the excesses of rodder fashion. His heightened senses make him distinctive, but his story retains the scale and vulnerability of a child still finding his place in a guarded world.
Description
Misha is a slight, short thirteen-year-old, about 149 centimeters tall, with fair skin that scarcely takes a tan and natural light hair. He dresses neatly and without extravagance, in keeping with a modest version of rodder fashion. His appearance is otherwise not detailed, and no eye color or particular facial features are given. His still, attentive bearing suggests a boy finely attuned to sensations others overlook.
