Roald has the taut air of a man trying to keep every uncertainty within arm's reach. His officer's uniform and heavy sidearm suggest authority, but his restless, anxious presence hints at how much effort that authority costs him.

Roald serves as temporary coordinator of the research station on Terfan, carrying the responsibility of command with visible tension. Ambition and anxiety shape his manner, while his algo-pistol—and later a landing blaster—mark the precarious edge of his authority. In the station's crisis, he takes on an antagonistic role, defined as much by strained control as by rank.
Description
Roald wears a station officer's uniform, practical and formal, with a heavy holster carrying a sidearm. His precise height, build, age, skin tone, hair, eyes, and facial features are not specified. He is characterized visually by a tense, anxious bearing: a man whose posture seems held tight, as though he is continually bracing for the next demand. The weapons and uniform give him a guarded, official presence.
