Across his author’s notes and essays, Lukyanenko appears as both storyteller and commentator, reflecting on the beginnings of his writing life and the imaginative impulses behind particular stories. He recalls himself as an eighteen-year-old university student writing fantasy in a rented apartment, then considers science fiction as escape and its writers as guides. His presence frames the collection with a maker’s curiosity, drawing attention to the ideas and experiences from which stories take shape.
Description
The text offers no reliable description of Lukyanenko’s physical appearance, so his face, coloring, height, and build remain unspecified. He is identified as a male author and commentator; no consistent clothing or physical features are established. In the available cameo detail, his expression is notably animated, with widened eyes and puffed cheeks.
