Шен

- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 7
Shen seems to hear trouble before it arrives: keen-eared, watchful, and too alive to danger to relax for long. There is a rough edge to his eagerness for combat, but beneath it is the sharp attention of a scout who misses very little.

A young scout with the sixth insurgent brigade, Shen is drawn as a keen-sensed rebel who is alert and skilled with a beam weapon. After a fight with wolves, he is left bloodied, his shirt torn and his leg wounded, yet his identity remains bound to the forward-looking attentiveness of a scout. The text offers no further history or relationships.
Description
Shen is described as young and sharp-eared, with keen senses, but his height, build, complexion, hair, eyes, and face are not specified. He wears a torn shirt and bears a bleeding wound on his leg. A beam gun is in his hands, and his alert, watchful posture gives him the compact tension of a scout always listening for the next threat.
