The Sage of the Endless Sword begins as a distant, almost mythic presence in Book 3, existing only through his Remnant sealed within Yerin and the memories of his brutal, limit-pushing training. By Book 7, the narrative peels back the legend to reveal the man: a six-armed swordsman whose fatal overextension in Sacred Valley transformed him from untouchable master to tragic casualty. Description
The Sage of the Endless Sword exists primarily through reputation and legacy rather than physical description. His presence is defined by the weight of his teachings and the Remnant of his power that continues to influence his former student. As a master of the endless sword, his form would carry the bearing of one who has spent a lifetime perfecting the art of the blade. A wiry man whose messy hair and half-lidded eyes create an impression of perpetual drowsiness. Six sword-arms hang limp from his back, and he wears tattered black robes that speak to a life of constant combat. His lean build and the white sword he carries mark him as a dedicated practitioner of the sword's path.
