Fisher Gesha's Drudge first appears in Blackflame as an eight-legged, spider-like construct of pure madra that carries the diminutive Soulsmith through her workshop. Across the series, the drudge evolves from a simple mobility aid into a sophisticated Soulsmithing assistant, gaining additional limbs, sensory arrays, and specialized tools that reflect Gesha's growing expertise and her deepening involvement with Lindon and Yerin. By later books, the drudge becomes an extension of Gesha's will, capable of independent operation and complex Soulsmithing tasks.
