A Fremen messenger, the tiny bat carries messages with quiet reliability, useful by night or day. Its handler soothes it with a gentle touch and a drop of saliva before sending it into the air. A brief but memorable glimpse of the resourcefulness woven into Fremen life.
Description
This tiny bat has a slight, delicate body covered in fine dark fur and a small, fine-featured face. Its most striking feature is its blue-within-blue eyes, deep and luminous against its coloring. Folded membranous wings lie close to its body, giving it a compact, alert silhouette. It has no clothing or adornment; its presence is quiet, watchful, and ready for flight.
