Bolt starts as a big, heavily muscled captain with a cruel demeanor, enforcing Regal's will as an antagonist. Poisoned, he wastes to gauntness with sunken eyes and drawn cheeks, weakening until a failed throat-cut attempt ends him. His transformation from brute enforcer to pitiful victim reveals the poisoner's reach in Buckkeep's shadowed wars.
