Imprisoned and tortured by Regal, Fitz follows Burrich's advice and consumes a poison to fake his death, fully transferring his consciousness into Nighteyes' body. Burrich and Chade later exhume and revive his human body.
Outcome
Fitz is presumed dead, allowing him to escape Regal's wrath, but he is left physically broken and deeply scarred by the experience.
