Gormanston Bynes has the blunt, weathered grandeur of a fortress that has learned to move. Broad and imposing for an elf, he carries himself with such contained force that even sitting still seems a kind of warning.

Gormanston Bynes is an influential aristocrat whose reputation makes him the real weight behind his son Calcifer. When Calcifer’s humiliation threatens to stain the family name, Gormanston’s concern for aristocratic dignity becomes an unmistakable political threat. A gold-ranker with a rare, forceful physicality for an elf, he projects power not through ornament but through the sense that he is always prepared to spring into action.
Description
Gormanston is a male elf, taller than his son, with a broad frame built to suggest speed and strength. His features have a blunt, stark beauty, like the face of a fortress, and his weathered appearance shows the subtle marks of age. He has a conspicuously physical presence for an elf, carrying himself with coiled readiness whether standing, walking, or seated. His clothing is aristocratic, while his restrained posture gives him the air of a spring held under tension.
