Amr ibn al-Layth inherited the territories of Shiraz and Ispahan from his brother Jacob, ruling as part of the Saffarid dynasty. His fortunes changed when he was captured by the Samanids and sent in chains to Baghdad, transforming from ruler to prisoner.

Description

A man of Persian descent whose features bear the marks of both authority and defeat, his eyes holding the memory of rule over Shiraz and Ispahan. He wears the remnants of royal attire now marked by his captivity, with chains that cannot entirely diminish the bearing of one who once commanded territories. His presence carries the weight of fallen power.
