Artavasdes rose from the son of a man who saved the infant Tiridates, only to see his family massacred for that loyalty. He became a military commander of Armenia and later, as kinsman to Constantine, occupied the capital and restored image worship. His path took him from defender of the realm to usurper, marking him as both savior and antagonist in Armenia's turbulent history.
Description
Artavasdes presents the weathered appearance of a middle-aged military commander, with dark hair touched by gray and features hardened by years of service. His build reflects the strength of a career soldier, and his armor bears the distinctive markings of high rank. His face shows the stern lines of one who has witnessed both great loyalty and great betrayal, with eyes that hold the calculating gaze of a survivor.
