Athalaric was the last male offspring of the prestigious Amali line, grandson of the great Theodoric, and heir to both Italy and the Ostrogothic conquests. Though bequeathed a kingdom at an age not exceeding ten years, he would later abandon himself to wine, women, and rustic pursuits, ultimately consumed by premature intemperance before reaching maturity.
Description
A delicate young boy with fair skin and light hair, his features still carrying the softness of extreme youth. Despite his tender age, he wears the fine royal garments appropriate to his status as the last male heir of the ancient Amali dynasty, his small frame somehow bearing the weight of kingdoms.
