Autharis was the son of Clepho who claimed the Lombard throne after a period of suspended rule during his minority. He emerged as a warrior king who asserted dominion over Italy through military strength and personal courage. His reign was marked by his marriage to Theudelinda, though it ended after only one year when he died, leaving the Lombard kingdom to face continued challenges.
Description
Autharis possesses the robust, powerful build of a Lombard warrior, his frame hardened by years of fighting and leadership. His strong hands and muscular arms speak to the physical prowess that allowed him to demonstrate his strength by striking trees with his battle-axe. He wears the distinctive clothing and adornments of a Germanic king, carrying himself with the confident bearing of a man who earned his throne through warrior's merit rather than mere inheritance.
