There's an air of quiet dignity about this Parthian prince, a man who carries the weight of ancient lineage even as he stands among strangers. His presence suggests both the refinement of eastern courts and the vulnerability of exile.

Chlienes was a Parthian prince of Arsacid descent who, along with another prince, fled the political upheavals of his homeland to seek refuge at the Byzantine court of Leo I. Finding sanctuary in the empire, he and his companion eventually settled in Macedonia, marking the end of their royal lineage's direct connection to Parthian power and the beginning of their integration into Byzantine society.

Description

An adult male of Parthian noble birth, with the olive-toned complexion typical of eastern Mediterranean peoples. His dark hair and dignified bearing reflect both his Arsacid heritage and his status as a displaced prince. He wears the formal attire appropriate to a courtier in the Byzantine empire of the 5th century, carrying himself with the composed presence of one who has known both royal privilege and the uncertainties of exile.
