There's a gravity to Clepho that commands attention without demanding it—the kind of presence that makes men pause when he speaks. His noble bearing speaks of someone chosen not by birthright alone, but by the trust of his peers.

Clepho emerged as one of the noblest Lombard chiefs, elected by free suffrage in the assembly of Pavia to succeed the fallen Alboin. His brief reign lasted only eighteen months before he was murdered by a domestic servant, leaving the Lombard kingdom once again without leadership.
Description
Clepho carries himself with the quiet authority of a man elected by his peers rather than born to rule. His features are strong and well-formed, with the weathered dignity of a warrior who has earned his place among the Lombard nobility. He wears the fine woolens and leather of a chief, his bearing upright and commanding.
