Daimbert of Pisa was the Archbishop who brought a fleet to succor the Holy Land and was installed as both spiritual and temporal head of the church in Jerusalem. His dual authority as Archbishop of Pisa and Patriarch of Jerusalem represented the intersection of religious and political power during the Crusades.
