David Comnenus was the last emperor of Trebizond and the final ruler of the Comnenian dynasty. When Ottoman forces besieged his capital, he negotiated surrender only to be transported to a castle in Romania where he and his entire family were executed on suspicion of treason. His death marked the end of the last Byzantine successor state and the complete extinction of the Comnenian imperial line.
Description
An adult emperor with imperial bearing wearing Byzantine royal garments. His features carry the weight of dynastic responsibility as the last of his imperial line. His presence reflects both royal dignity and the melancholy of endings.
