Eudocia began as Athenais, daughter of the philosopher Leontius, a fair and virtuous maiden whose beauty and learning led her from private life to the imperial throne as wife of Theodosius II. Her political acumen and Theodosian lineage shaped her reign, though she would later face exile to Jerusalem, ending her days far from the court that had once celebrated her.

Description

A slender woman with fair complexion and golden locks arranged in the imperial fashion, possessing large expressive eyes and a well-proportioned nose that contribute to her striking appearance. She carries herself with graceful demeanor and scholarly poise, wearing the rich robes and jewels befitting an empress of the Theodosian line.
