Count Eulalius of the Domestics lived to an advanced age and used his final testament to settle his affairs with meticulous care. He declared Emperor Justinian his sole heir, with the condition that the emperor discharge his debts and provide for his three daughters. His philosophical nature was evident even in his final arrangements.
