There's something formidable about the way he carries the weight of Rome's armies on his shoulders—patient, calculating, with the quiet authority of a man who has commanded both Roman legions and barbarian hordes. His presence suggests someone who understands power from both sides of the frontier.

Aetius began as the son of Gaudentius and spent his formative years as a hostage among the barbarians, learning their ways and earning their respect. Rising through the ranks to become general of the Roman armies, he commanded the loyalty of Hunnic forces while serving the empire that had once held him captive. His military career was defined by his rivalry with Boniface, culminating in a decisive duel that left him proclaimed a rebel by the very empire he had served.

Description

A powerfully built man of middle age with the weathered complexion of someone who has spent decades in the field. His dark hair, cut short in military fashion, shows strands of gray at the temples. Sharp, intelligent eyes survey the world with the calculating gaze of a seasoned commander. Broad shoulders and a solid frame speak to years of physical discipline, while his bearing carries the unmistakable authority of one who has led both Roman and barbarian forces into battle.
