The weight of empire sits uneasily on shoulders still accustomed to simpler burdens—youthful features beneath the imperial purple, eyes that have seen both the fields of his origins and the corridors of power.

Maximinus rose from rustic origins as the nephew of Galerius, elevated by Diocletian to govern Egypt and Syria as Caesar. He demanded equal title of Augustus and shared power with Licinius in the East, ruling with harsh authority over Asia from his base in Syria. His reign positioned him as an opponent to the Edict of Milan and the Christian policies it represented.
Description
A young man of eastern Mediterranean appearance with dark hair and features, wearing the imperial purple and eastern regalia that mark his elevated status. His build suggests someone recently removed from rustic life, with the bearing of one still adjusting to the dignity of empire. Clean-shaven and youthful, he carries the ornaments of power with the gravity of his new position.
