Posthumus rose as a capable Roman general tasked with defending Gaul during the reign of Gallienus, conducting armies with skill while the emperor remained distant at court. His repeated successes against Germanic tribes earned him the prestigious titles of Conqueror of the Germans and Savior of Gaul, with trophies and honors marking his military achievements. Yet his rigid virtues and refusal to allow his troops to plunder ultimately led to his destruction when his own soldiers turned against him after he suppressed a competitor at Mentz.
Description
A Roman general of mature years, his weathered face bearing the marks of extensive military campaigns across Gaul. Close-cropped dark hair frames strong, authoritative features beneath the crested helmet of his rank. His bearing is that of a seasoned commander, standing with the straight-backed posture of one accustomed to leading armies. Military armor covers his form, adorned with the trophies and titles that attest to his fame as Conqueror of the Germans and Savior of Gaul. A crimson cloak drapes from his shoulders, fastened with a clasp of rank, completing the image of a disciplined Roman officer whose presence demands respect.
