Saint Stephen, known as the Protomartyr, was the first Christian to die for his faith. His relics, discovered centuries later, were said to possess miraculous powers including the ability to perform resurrections. These relics were transported to a church on Mount Sion and became objects of veneration throughout the Christian world, with particles of his remains credited with performing countless prodigies across Africa.
