Theodebert

Power flows from him like the force of the rivers he commands—the kind of authority that has been forged through generations of Merovingian conquest and maintained through personal prowess in battle. His presence suggests someone who rules through strength rather than subtlety.

Theodebert established himself as the most powerful and warlike of the Merovingian kings, ruling Austrasia as grandson of Clovis and inheriting both the martial traditions and territorial ambitions of his legendary ancestor. When the Goths sought his aid against Justinian, he led an army of one hundred thousand barbarians into the plains of Italy, threatening to chastise the Eastern emperor himself. His reign ended abruptly when he was overthrown and slain by a wild bull, bringing to a close one of the most formidable reigns in early Frankish history.

Description

A powerful Frankish king with fair skin and reddish-blond hair and beard, his appearance befitting the most warlike of the Merovingian monarchs. He wears the distinctive regalia marking him as king of Austrasia and grandson of Clovis, carrying himself with the bearing of someone who has led armies of one hundred thousand barbarians across the plains of Italy. His features reflect both the inherited authority of his royal lineage and the personal strength that has made him a force to be reckoned with in the turbulent politics of sixth-century Europe.
