Titus Flavius Clemens, known as Clemens Alexandrinus, was a Christian theologian from Alexandria whose Stromata provided crucial insights into early Christian attitudes toward heretical groups. His scholarly works on ethics and philosophy were frequently cited by later historians. He held consular rank and maintained connections to the imperial family before his execution by Domitian on charges of atheism and Jewish practices, later recognized by the church as an early martyr.
