There is a gravity to her that feels older than her years, as though the weight of unseen voices rests on her shoulders. Her gaze is steady, her voice low and deliberate, carrying the kind of authority that does not need to be raised to be obeyed.

Velleda emerged as a spiritual leader among the Germanic tribes during their resistance against Roman expansion. Revered for her ability to interpret divine will, she became a unifying figure who governed the Batavian tribes in the name of their deity. Her influence extended beyond ritual into political authority, shaping the direction of the tribes' defiance against imperial forces.
Description
Velleda is an adult woman of the 1st century CE, with long, unbound hair in shades of dark gold and copper. Her skin is pale in the northern manner, and her eyes are solemn and penetrating. She wears layered woolen robes in earth tones and muted greens, fastened with bronze clasps, and carries a simple wooden staff carved with runic symbols. Her presence is quiet but commanding, marked by a stillness that draws attention without effort.
