Vladimir I of Kiev began as a pagan prince devoted to the ancient worship of his people, later becoming the great apostle of Russia through his conversion to Christianity. He married Anna, daughter of Romanus II of Byzantium, and marked his transformation by ordering the destruction of the pagan idol Peroun after his baptism at Cherson.
Description
Vladimir presents the imposing figure of a Grand Duke of Kiev, with a strong, princely bearing that commands respect. His appearance reflects both his pagan origins and his later Christian conversion, marked by royal Slavic features and the elaborate regalia befitting his status. His presence carries the weight of both ancient traditions and the transformation that would define his legacy.
