Chert remains a minor, shadowed figure, known chiefly through brief references rather than a fully told personal story. The text gives no clear account of his life or appearance, but remarks that he learned the hard way not to underestimate Apsalar’s sharpness. His small place in the narrative is defined by the wary lesson his name comes to evoke.
Description
The text offers no concrete description of Chert’s face, build, coloring, hair, or clothing. He is identified as an older man, but no further visual details are established. For a faithful depiction, keep his appearance deliberately indistinct rather than assigning unsupported features.
