The Torus Air Corridor first appears in Platform Decay as a vast, dimly lit octagonal structural tube that serves as a critical transit artery within a decaying orbital platform. Its transparent wall offers a stark view of the central planet and surrounding space, emphasizing both its engineering scale and the vulnerability of the station. Across the series, the corridor evolves from a simple atmospheric passage into a strategic chokepoint where Murderbot and its allies orchestrate escapes, ambushes, and last-stand defenses against corporate forces. Its sparse lighting and exposed sightlines become recurring tactical elements that shape the outcome of multiple confrontations.
