The Survival Tent first appears in System Collapse as a collapsible fabric shelter that Murderbot deploys to hide a shuttle under a convincing sand-drift disguise. Its feed-linked deployment system allows rapid setup and breakdown, proving essential during a high-stakes planetary survey. While its role is limited to this single installment so far, the tent embodies the series’ recurring theme of improvised, low-tech solutions augmenting a SecUnit’s high-tech capabilities.
