Brajon the Callous

Minor

Brajon the Callous moves among soldiers like a wolf in sheep's clothing, his presence heavy with unspoken threat despite the ordinary infantry colors he wears. There's a chilling precision to his gaze that suggests he could unravel the world with a gesture, making those nearby instinctively uneasy.

Brajon the Callous appears only in Promise of Blood as the formidable head of the Kez royal cabal, a Privileged sorcerer whose immense power allows him to annihilate armies with calculated precision. Concealed behind an unassuming, mundane facade, he represents the hidden magical might backing the Kez invasion of Adro. His brief but explosive role culminates in a dramatic battlefield confrontation where he is fatally shot through the throat by Taniel Two-Shot's bullet, ending his reign of terror in a spray of blood. Though he does not appear in subsequent books, his death serves as an early demonstration of the vulnerability of even the most powerful Privileged to powder mages, shifting the balance of the war.

Physical Description

Brajon the Callous is a powerfully built man with stern angular features, pale skin, and cold, calculating eyes. His short cropped dark hair shows touches of gray at the temples. He dresses in standard infantry colors to blend with troops, though he conceals his ornate Privileged gloves which mark his true sorcerous nature, and carries himself with an aura of restrained menace.
