Skyline Palace Silver Doors

unique_object

Enormous double doors plated in silver, highly reflective, extremely heavy and ponderous to open, set within the grand marble façade of Skyline Palace; part of an avenue of fountains and walks.

The Skyline Palace Silver Doors serve as the imposing, highly reflective entrance to Adro's seat of power in *Promise of Blood*, their ponderous weight and gleaming silver plating symbolizing the unyielding might of the monarchy. As the trilogy unfolds, these doors witness the violent upheaval of the coup, becoming scarred by musket fire and sorcery during Field Marshal Tamas's revolution. In subsequent books, they evolve from a symbol of royal authority into a battered emblem of the new republic, frequently barricaded or defended amid counter-revolutions and invasions, their once-pristine surface reflecting the chaos and shifting allegiances of a nation in turmoil. By the series' end, the doors stand as a silent testament to Adro's turbulent rebirth, their grandeur forever altered by the powder mages and Privileged who fought before them.
