Sorcery Tunnels

Two perfectly smooth cylindrical tunnels bored through solid rock, each roughly 8 feet in diameter (one foot taller than a man), created by Privileged sorcery with no tool marks. Appear as twin vibrant colored streaks in the Else.

In the Powder Mage Trilogy, the Sorcery Tunnels are a pair of perfectly smooth, eight-foot-diameter cylindrical passages bored through solid rock by ancient Privileged magic, appearing as twin vibrant streaks in the Else. First discovered beneath Adro's capital in Promise of Blood, they serve as a critical escape route and hidden thoroughfare during the coup and subsequent wars. As the series progresses, their strategic value grows; they are repeatedly used for covert troop movements, ambushes, and desperate flights, revealing layers of the world's magical history and the lingering power of long-dead sorcerers. By the trilogy's end, the tunnels symbolize both the enduring scars of sorcery on the landscape and the unpredictable ways ancient magic can tip the scales in modern conflicts.
