The Drafters appear as a collective audience observing footage and holoexperiences, including the events surrounding the Jackal and Darrow. Their scrutiny constrains the Proctors, who risk suspicion if they tamper too much with what is shown. As Darrow’s story reaches the holos, the Drafters clamour to recruit him and become part of the unseen pressure shaping the spectacle.
