Drusilla

Minor
First seen · Book 4 · Ch. 36

Drusilla appears only at the edge of a shared memory, linked to the quiet, practical skill of learning to fish. That small detail gives her a place in an intimate circle without revealing much about the person herself.

Drusilla first appears only as a name in the memories of Diomedes au Raa, one of several youths Lorn au Arcos taught to fish on Europa. By the time of the Republic’s war with the Rim Dominion, she has become a living emblem of endurance: a bald, radiation-scarred captive who hauls the wounded Fear Knight through a collapsing cave system before dying impaled on wreckage. Her arc transforms her from a faceless anecdote into a martyr whose quiet persistence embodies the broken yet unbroken supporters of the Rising’s cause.

Description

The text gives no physical description of Drusilla. Her age, build, coloring, hair, eyes, facial features, and clothing are unspecified. Darker face than those around her, with kind eyes framed by swollen eyelids. Bald from radiation, her head gleams under harsh light. Body marked by torture, often chained or collapsed, shaking on the floor with a jagged metal piece piercing her chest. Wears tattered, practical clothing suited for survival and concealment under camo tarps. Presence radiates dazed endurance, a figure of quiet, suffering resilience.
