A massive warrior with a powerful muscular frame, moon-pale skin covered in tattoos and old scars, and a long dark valor tail of hair flowing down his back to his tailbone interwoven with war trophies. His unusually delicate face holds an avian bone structure, a nose broken twice, gaunt freckled cheeks, full notched lips, and intense black eyes shot with silver. He cuts an imposing figure in battered white pulse armor mounted with the skulls of slain warlords, frequently wearing a gigantic helmet fashioned from an African sand hydra skull and topped with meter-long green poison feathers while carrying a greataxe sized for a giant.

Valdir the Unshorn first appears in Dark Age as a towering Obsidian warrior whose moon-pale skin, tattooed scars, and trophy-laden armor mark him as both executioner and consort to Queen Sefi Volarus. By Light Bringer his once-flowing valor tail has been shorn away, replaced by a shaved scalp and three ritual chest wounds that symbolize his transformation from Sefi’s consort to a Sky Bastard warlord commanding Obsidian legions in the war for change. Across the two books, Valdir evolves from a silent, skull-helmed enforcer whose loyalty is strained by Sefi’s politics into a charismatic, ferociously independent leader whose terrifying smile rallies his people and bolsters the rising against tyranny.
Description
Valdir stands exceptionally tall with a build of corded ropelike muscle that strains beneath his skin. His shaved head highlights gaunt freckled cheeks and deep surly eyes that hold a constant intensity. Tattoos stain much of his body, and three flayed wounds mark his chest. He carries a terrifying smile that contrasts with his troublingly handsome features.
