Valles Marineris Riverbank emerges in Golden Son as a pivotal Mars landscape that transitions from a mere geographic feature to a crucible of political upheaval. In the second book of the Red Rising Saga, this riverbank becomes the stage for Darrow's most audacious gambit yet, where the natural grandeur of Mars' largest canyon system mirrors the vast ambitions of those who would reshape society. The location evolves from a passive backdrop into an active participant in the rising conflict, its ancient waters bearing witness to both the birth and potential death of revolutionary dreams.
