The Jackal Scepter first appears in Morning Star as a custom gold artifact commissioned by Darrow to symbolize the new order rising from the ashes of the old Society. Its retractable design and jackal-skull crest atop a pyramid base serve as a deliberate, ironic reminder of the fallen ArchGovernor's legacy and the cost of rebellion. Across the series, the scepter evolves from a personal gift into a potent emblem of political legitimacy and the moral ambiguities of revolution.
